About the Role The Senior Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity. This role requires a deep understanding of automation technologies, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineers. Your Responsibilities Will Include Design, develop, and maintain automated test systems and scripts using Python, LabVIEW, TestStand and Python. Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and scripts. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements. Optimize and improve existing test systems for performance and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to test systems and software. Conduct regular testing and debugging of automated systems to ensure reliability and performance. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in automation technologies. Document automation processes, procedures, designs and best practices. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in LabVIEW programming and development. Experience with automation tools and frameworks (e.g., TestStand, NI hardware). Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Is resilient in the face of setbacks. Plans appropriately for risks and responds positively to unforeseen problems. Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with data acquisition and control systems. Equipment and fixture design, along with test systems development experience. Experience with hardware integration and troubleshooting. Process Development; equipment validations and process characterization experience Ability to translate theoretical and abstract ideas into meaningful innovation Python and/or C/C++ programming experience Data driven individual; statistical analysis experience Requisition ID: Minimum Salary: $79,700 Maximum Salary: $158,200 The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see – will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above. Compensation for hourly, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for salaried, non-sales roles may also include variable compensation, i.e., annual bonus target and long‑term incentives (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Compensation for sales roles is governed by Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives). However, in Québec, Boston Scientific limits as much as possible the number of positions for which it requires the knowledge of another language than French.
