Calgary, Canada Women in Payments Full time

Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly scaling tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada. #1 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 for 2023, 2024, and 2025 – the first company ever to achieve a three-peat at the top #1 Fastest Growing Company in Canada for 2024 by Globe & Mail Top-ranked mobile apps and credit cards Team of 500+ people 1M+ customers 10K+ retail partners The Role We’re hiring a Senior / Lead Product Manager to work on the foundational systems that power how money moves: from payment rails and card processing to credit risk infrastructure. You’ll work deep in the stack to ensure our platform is scalable, secure, and flexible enough to support the next generation of financial products. This role is about more than managing a roadmap: it’s about figuring out what we should build, why it matters, and how to make it real. You’ll work closely with a tight-knit team of designers and engineers to solve real problems for millions of Canadians. That might mean shaping long-term strategy, getting scrappy with prototypes, running experiments, digging through data, or jumping on calls with customers. You’ll be expected to think big, sweat the details, and help your team move fast in the right direction. Neo is growing quickly, and that means this role won’t stay static. You'll likely be building some products from scratch, scaling others, and adapting into new domains as priorities shift. If you're excited by the idea of owning a big slice of a product, figuring things out as you go, and building for impact then you’ll feel at home here. What you’ll be doing: Lead the design and evolution of core money movement infrastructure, including payment processing, disbursements, settlements, and ledger systems. Build internal platforms that support credit risk decisioning, authorization logic, and compliance needs, enabling faster development and safer financial operations. Set a clear product vision for your area — and make sure your team deeply understands the “why” behind what you’re building. Work closely with designers, engineers, marketers and anyone else needed to move from insight to implementation. You’ll go from whiteboard to shipped product (and probably back again). Talk to users regularly. You’ll gather insights firsthand and use them to shape decisions, challenge assumptions, and uncover opportunities. Write narratives, not just tickets. You’ll bring structure to ambiguity through clear strategy docs, roadmaps, and product briefs that help everyone make better decisions. Define success with real metrics and drive measurable results. Prioritize like it’s a superpower. You’ll have to make smart trade-offs, manage edge cases, and keep the team focused on what truly matters. Contribute to improving our product culture. You’ll mentor peers, share learnings, and help raise the bar across the team. Who we are looking for: Experienced Product Manager (5+ years) with a track record of building and scaling complex systems — ideally in fintech, payments, or infrastructure-heavy products. Proven experience with payment rails, money movement, or financial services APIs, and a strong grasp of the operational and regulatory complexity behind them. Comfortable working hands-on with engineers, architects, designers, and operations teams — titles don’t matter, outcomes do. Systems thinker who can connect long‑term strategy with detailed execution and edge‑case handling. Data‑driven and outcome‑obsessed — you measure success by the impact you create, not just the features you ship. Skilled communicator who can simplify complex topics and deliver compelling product narratives and roadmaps to both technical and executive audiences. Thrive in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments where priorities evolve and problems aren’t clearly defined. Lead with humility and curiosity — high standards, low ego, and a focus on lifting others up. Prior experience in fintech or payments infrastructure strongly preferred; fast learners with deep ownership mindset welcome. Working at Neo: The people who thrive at Neo are resourceful, growth‑oriented, and driven to win. We hold ourselves to high standards because we’re on a mission that matters: to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. As individuals and as a team, we constantly challenge ourselves and each other to raise the bar and deliver exceptional experiences for our customers. Our commitment to customer success drives everything we do, from building world‑class products to providing exceptional support at every step of their journey. If this resonates with you, keep reading. We trust, respect, and support each other. This means honest conversations, constructive input, and empowering each other to move fast and think big. You’ll be surrounded by people who push you to be your best. We primarily collaborate in person across our Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices, where ideas move quickly and teams build momentum together. As we continue to scale and evolve, we’re looking for builders, innovators, and problem solvers who thrive on challenge—people who would rather blaze a trail through uncertainty than follow a well‑paved path. All team members have a stake in Neo’s success and earn meaningful equity through stock options. This ownership mindset is at the heart of everything we do — when Neo grows, we all grow. If you’ve heard that Neo employees work hard, it’s true. We hold ourselves accountable for delivering on our commitments to our customers, partners, and each other. Working at Neo means taking ownership of your work and driving results, knowing that your contributions directly impact the company’s success. Apply with us: We believe in equal opportunity and are committed to creating an inclusive climate where everyone can thrive. Customers trust us with their finances, so successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check and a credit check. By continuing with your application, you agree to the Candidate Privacy Notice, which guides how we process your personal information for the purpose of your application. #J-18808-Ljbffr
