What You’ll Be Doing: Designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced meshing algorithms for simulation models used in Ansys TurboGrid and related products. Participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, prototyping, coding, testing, and documentation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including QA, product support, and other development groups, to ensure robust and high-quality product releases. Engaging in defect verification and resolution, ensuring that solutions meet customer expectations and performance criteria. Understanding and translating market requirements, such as target environments and competitive benchmarks, into technical solutions and product features. Staying up to date with advances in computational geometry, numerical methods, and meshing technology to continuously improve our product offerings. Contributing to code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions within the team. Driving continuous improvement in simulation software performance, scalability, and usability, directly impacting customer success. Helping Synopsys maintain its leadership position in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and engineering simulation software markets. Reducing time-to-market for customers by delivering innovative, reliable, and easy-to-use meshing solutions. Strengthening the technical capabilities of the Fluids Business Unit through your expertise and collaborative spirit. Contributing to the development and maintenance of flagship products used across a wide range of industries, from energy to aerospace. What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 2 years’ experience, or a Master’s degree. Solid programming skills in C++ and Python, with a strong understanding of software design and development principles. Experience with mesh generation algorithms, computational geometry, or numerical methods. Familiarity with CAD systems, CAD topology, and geometry basics. Working knowledge of GUI toolkits such as QT and experience in large-scale commercial software development environments. Who You Are: An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
