Drive Meals on Wheels routes for Dixon Hall while transporting clients safely and supporting volunteers across downtown Toronto. This relief position requires a valid Class G licence.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Meals on Wheels, the Relief Driver transports Agency clients and volunteers under Ontario Regulations. You will collect food from St. Michael’s Hospital or other locations, deliver meals, and assist clients with transportation. The work requires customer service excellence, safety awareness, and sensitivity to seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload Meals on Wheels bags
- Pick up food from designated source locations
- Deliver multiple Meals on Wheels routes
- Support volunteers during meal deliveries
- Transport and assist clients as required
Requirements:
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
- Personal driver’s insurance and clean recent abstract
- At least 25 years of age
- Knowledge of downtown city streets
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector screening required
Support Dixon Hall’s Senior Services through safe driving, client assistance, meal delivery, and dependable volunteer coordination.
