Overview Advanced Practice Clinical Leader - Crisis Critical Care at CAMH. This is a full-time, temporary (6 months) position in the Clinical Care Program, CCC3. Reporting to the Senior Clinical Director of Adult Inpatient and Psychosis Recovery and Treatment Outpatient Services. The role supports point-of-care staff in the implementation and evaluation of best practices in the assessment, individual and group treatment for patients with acute psychiatric illnesses and concurrent substance use disorders. Responsibilities Support inpatient point-of-care teams and models of care in collaboration with program leadership. Role model clinical practice in complex care situations; engage in direct care activities for complex and high-risk clients. Lead development of the program’s group programming. Support interprofessional collaborative care, academic and research opportunities. Promote the implementation and audit of documentation standards. Participate in or facilitate quality improvement projects and quality reviews focusing on patient safety. Supervise graduate students. Participate in program planning and evaluation with operational and professional practice leaders. Support integrated clinical resources in program-level and organizational-level strategic planning for both inpatient and outpatient services. Support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with applicable regulatory requirements. Provide support to clinical teams at the Queen Street Site and outpatient community settings. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Nursing; member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. 5 years’ experience in mental health and addiction treatment. Understanding of the complex psychiatric and physical health needs of this clinical population. Additional qualifications such as CNA certification in psychiatric/mental health or other relevant certification are assets. Eligibility for cross-appointment at the University of Toronto. Proven ability to provide professional practice leadership; ability to challenge and motivate others; commitment to academic and research endeavours. Experience in leading change and providing advanced clinical care in a culturally diverse environment. Previous advanced practice/administrative/academic scholarship is an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, teaching and computer skills. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
