Role Description We are looking for a Commercial Construction Estimator with proven experience in full‑scope estimating for commercial interior projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate budgets, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor pricing, scope clarifications, and risk assessments for retail, restaurant, and franchise build‑outs. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and the Pre‑Construction team to ensure all drawings, specs, and scopes are aligned before projects move into execution. Your ability to catch missing information early and provide clear breakdowns will directly influence project success. Key Responsibilities Complete full‑scope estimates for commercial renovations and tenant fit‑outs Perform detailed quantity takeoffs across architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural scopes Analyze drawings, specifications, landlord criteria, and franchise requirements Obtain, review, and level subcontractor and supplier quotations Identify scope gaps, risks, and missing details early Support budgeting, value engineering, and schedule alignment Prepare clear, organized scope breakdowns and pricing summaries Collaborate with internal teams during pre‑construction review Qualifications Required 3+ years experience as a General Contractor estimator Strong background in commercial interiors , retail, restaurant, or franchise projects Ability to interpret full drawing sets Understanding of commercial sequencing, construction methods, and trade scopes Proficient with takeoff and estimating tools (Bluebeam required; PlanSwift or similar preferred) Strong attention to detail and ability to catch inconsistencies or risk items Excellent written and verbal communication for scopes, RFIs, and proposals Nice to Have Experience with Procore or other construction management software Familiarity with Ontario Building Code (commercial) Ability to support light scheduling or PM functions Knowledge of landlord work letters and tenant coordination processes Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Management and Manufacturing Industries Construction #J-18808-Ljbffr
