SummaryProvide engineering expertise on multiple customer programs. Continually optimize processes to repeatedly produce customer and new customer’s products ensuring cost, quality and delivery goals are achieved. Provide training to operations group and entry level Engineers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement processes to drive high product quality and cost reductionsManage and resolve technical issues with regard to product design and or manufacturing processes for both customers and/or suppliersProvide technical assistance on customer product specifications such as labels, programmable devices, test routines, quality goals, mechanical assembly requirements and product performance criteriaFacilitate Bill-of material and engineering change order analysisReview customer ECOs to ensure that changes to products are properly documented and will not have any detrimental impact to product quality or production capacityDevelop and provide product/process training to Operations and entry level EngineersAssist operators in utilizing the manufacturing execution system as requiredParticipate in quality teams representing the engineering function and assume lead role during the new product introduction stageReview quality and product data to ensure conformance to specificationsGenerate and drive corrective action on all CARsDevelop criteria for equipment calibration and preventive maintenance programsGenerate procedures, Process Alerts, Purges, Deviations and other process documentationGenerate DFM analyses and facilitate cost reduction initiatives with the customer and suppliersAssist in maintaining plans and models for determining plant capacity and manpower requirementsEnsure materials meet quality and agency compliance goalsOther responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business QualificationsBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience•5+ years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentCertificates in related fields a plusUniversal Instruments SMT Equipment knowledge a plusMust possess a strong background in system level, mechanical assembly, and/or SMT manufacturing environmentRequires an understanding of computer aided/integrated design in manufacturingExcellent written and verbal communication skills for interfacing internally and externally with customers and suppliers on technical mattersDemonstrate abilities as a self-motivated team player with ability to multi-task or email to #J-18808-Ljbffr
