About the Role As a Software Engineer, you will join a strong team of subject matter experts in API development and cloud-native capabilities, including running AI models on DataFlow and analytics on BigQuery, and managing petabytes of data across SQL, NoSQL, and object storage in production environments used by customers daily. Your Role You will be an integral part of an engineering team responsible for one of our products. You will work with product management, design, and other engineering teams to solve complex technical problems and deliver high-quality products on time. You will have autonomy to express creativity during design and implementation, supported by well-defined processes and a skilled team. What You’ll Bring A deep and genuine interest in Behavox as demonstrated by a connection to its mission, marketplace and/or technologies 5+ years of experience building scalable and reliable server-side cloud-native applications, with solid knowledge of the latest version of Java Proficiency in designing and implementing containerized and serverless components/services within high-load, data-intensive architectures for large-scale distributed systems Experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or BigQuery) and NoSQL (e.g., ScyllaDB, HBase or BigTable) Experience with message brokers such as Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ (advantageous) What You’ll Do Develop complex, scalable services and components in Java, leveraging cloud-native technologies to build large-scale distributed systems processing significant data daily Contribute to analyzing product requirements, solution discussions, and implementation planning Collaborate with team members in planning, technical discussions, status meetings, and code reviews Own assigned features and tasks, demonstrating autonomy and quick learning Write automated tests (unit, integration, contract, component, end-to-end) to improve product quality What We Offer A truly global mission with a passionate, talented community in locations worldwide Significant impact and opportunities for learning through bold innovation Competitive compensation with performance bonuses baked into salary Flexible work schedule with remote or hybrid options as appropriate Generous time-off (30 days annually) plus public holidays per geography About Our Process We take talent seriously and believe the process should be a two-way assessment.
