Starting Date and Location: To be determined Qualifications Previous school administrative and/or educational leadership experience Fluent in French, both oral and written communication Demonstrated understanding of current trends and issues in education, with a good working knowledge of curricula and programs Demonstrated ability in and commitment to instructional leadership Effective problem solver who is able to anticipate the needs of the complex and diverse school environment Excellent decision maker who nurtures a culture of trust, collaboration and innovation across departments and staff Ability to critically analyze situations, solicit and utilize input, and work with data in order to continually improve the effectiveness of the school Knowledge and experience in supporting student leadership and voice Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts which may arise in a diverse and complex school environment Experience working with community agencies and in partnerships with outside organizations Strong understanding of French Immersion programs, language development and pedagogy Effective communicator who encourages and supports community involvement and is able to create an atmosphere of openness with students, staff, and the surrounding community Experience and understanding of Indigenous peoples, cultures, and perspectives; commitment to support staff to continue to integrate Indigenous perspectives in the classrooms and across curricular areas Demonstrated understanding of the cultural diversity of today’s society and ability to adjust to the changing demands of their school community Commitment to engagement and equity Commitment to support wide range of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular initiatives Strong organization and interpersonal skills FRENCH IMMERSION VICE-PRINCIPAL Au sein de la DS W, chaque employé joue un rôle essentiel pour aider les élèves à s'épanouir.
