Support two school-aged children in Southeast Calgary with patient childcare, morning routines, and after-school meal preparation. This position offers split-shift hours in Douglasdale.
The family seeks a nanny or childcare provider for a seven-year-old girl and fourteen-year-old boy. Duties include school preparation, bus transportation, reminders, snacks, meal prep, and occasional light housework. The role supports age-appropriate independence and requires understanding of child development. The fourteen-year-old has ADHD, FASD, and a mild intellectual disability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the youngest child for school each morning
- Walk her to the bus stop
- Remind the teenager to shower and pack lunch
- Pick up the youngest child from the bus
- Prepare healthy snacks and family meal components
Requirements:
- Patient, understanding approach to child development
- Kind but firm communication style
- Comfort with a lesbian household and affirming values
- Consistency and availability for split-shift scheduling
- Recent PIC and references required
