Sturgeon Public School Division is currently seeking a Full-Time Math and CTF Teacher for our Oak Hill School for the 2024/2025 school year.

Located in Bon Accord, students from grades 4-9 are placed at Oak Hill Ranch by Alberta Child and Family Services. In cooperation with the Ranch, Sturgeon Public Schools, and Alberta Education, the school's primary objective is to provide a quality education program according to the emotional, social, and academic needs of each student. Staff at Oak Hill School are highly skilled and fully committed to providing students with many opportunities to thrive and find success.

Assignment: 1.0 FTE; Grade 4-9 Math and CTF Teacher

Qualifications:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate as well as experience teaching Math and CTF

Experience with Elementary/Junior High students; attending and working through modules is necessary

Knowledge of TCI-S and a strong understanding of supports necessary for challenging behavior is essential

Utilization and previous experience with MakerSpaces would be an asset

Experience and proficiency with technology

The successful candidate must have exceptional communication skills, working experience in special education classrooms, working knowledge of employability curriculum and a strong desire to support and build relationships with student(s) who have emotion and behavioural challenges
