We’re expanding to your area soon While services haven’t begun yet, we’re hiring now to create a strong, compassionate team. Are you ready to make a positive impact on the lives of children and strengthen families? Brightisle is a leading provider of health and community care services in Newfoundland and Labrador. Our programs have over 25 years of operating experience and combined employ over 1000 individuals in the direct delivery of health and community care-related services. Help families stay connected and ensure the well-being and safety of children and youth. Responsibilities Supervised Family Visitation Workers allow children and youth in foster care the opportunity to have visitation with their families in a safe environment. In addition to providing observation and safety, it is the workers' role to monitor conditions and behaviors and complete detailed reports. These reports are key to determining if families can be reunified and are often used in court. This role requires knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and social services. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, good decision‑making skills, objectivity, and provide a high level of confidentiality of all client information. Because visits are scheduled to fit children’s and families’ schedules, Supervised Family Visitation Workers must be flexible; the work consists of short shifts with a mixture of days, evenings, and weekends (minimum of 3 hours, no overnights or 24‑hour shifts). If travel with the children is required for the visit, transportation will be arranged by taxi and covered by the program. Additionally, all Supervised Visitation Workers are compensated for their report writing time. Training is provided to prepare you for the role and there is on‑call support during all the visitation times. Qualifications Experience in a related field working with children and youth Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check First Aid Certificate Medical Certificate indicating good health (negative TB test, up-to-date immunization record). Benefits Salary is $19.45 per hour as per the collective agreement. This is a unionized position with NL Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE). #J-18808-Ljbffr
