Our Lower School is seeking a compassionate, innovative, and qualified teacher committed to providing an exceptional learning environment for our Grade 5 students. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in instructional and assessment practices, a passion for teaching, strong classroom management skills, and a strong understanding of the Ontario curriculum. They will have opportunities to participate in co-curricular and extracurricular activities that enrich their school experiences. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Education Ontario College of Teachers certification Good knowledge of the Ontario curriculum Primary/Junior qualifications Experience teaching all core subjects, including math, language arts, science, and social studies Experience in using technology to enhance the classroom experience is an asset Minimum of three years of Elementary teaching experience Required Skills and Experience Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum Demonstrated experience as an enthusiastic, innovative, and caring educator. A commitment to diversity and inclusion. Strong classroom management skills. Collaborative and flexible, and supportive team player Ability to develop positive relationships with students, parents and staff. Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Demonstrated commitment to educating the whole student Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into learning experiences. Experience using an inquiry-based and project-based learning approach in science.
