Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced “Pre-implementation Project Manager” to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the solar business. This role is pivotal in evaluating potential residential as well as commercial solar projects, coordinating their realization, and ensuring seamless communication with all stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate potential solar projects, including site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Coordinate project realization from inception to completion.
  • Interface with customers, regulatory bodies, and funders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Paradigm Building Solutions to integrate solar array and battery solutions with single-family and multifamily homes.
  • Identify government funding initiatives and apply them to potential client projects.
  • Work closely with energy advisors and utility providers such as BC Hydro to identify other incentive possibilities to bring solar energy to British Columbia.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the solar business both commercial and residential.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface effectively with customers, regulatory bodies, and funders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to solar energy projects.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Proficiency in solar modelling tools such as Aurora or HelioScope
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP or other relevant project management certification.
  • Experience working with energy-efficient building solutions.
  • Knowledge of battery storage systems and integration with solar arrays.
  • Knowledge of carbon tax credits and carbon accounting
