The successful candidate will support the development of metallic airframe structures by performing classical hand calculations, conducting FEM‑based analyses , and collaborating closely with design engineering. This role operates in a dynamic environment requiring adaptability, technical rigor, and strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities Perform classical hand calculations for static strength, stability, joint analysis, and other structural evaluation tasks in accordance with aerospace industry standards. Conduct and update GFEM (Global Finite Element Model) modifications to reflect evolving design maturity. Perform load extraction from GFEMs to support local analyses and detailed substantiation. Build and process DFEMs for critical components and assemblies, ensuring appropriate modeling assumptions, mesh quality, and load paths. Analyze results, assess margins of safety, and document assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions clearly. Work closely with design engineers to provide actionable feedback on structural concepts, material selection, and load‑path efficiency. Synthesize and present results to peers, management, and clients. Write clear, complete stress reports that meet certification‑level documentation standards. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in structural analysis of aircraft components (metallic structures preferred). Strong proficiency in hand calculations using classical aerospace methods. Experience performing GFEM updates, load extraction, and DFEM analyses. Proficiency with CATIA / 3DEXPERIENCE for interacting with CAD geometry. Familiarity with Classical design references such as Bruhn, Niu, and Roark. Strong understanding of fatigue and damage tolerance principles and their application to structural design. Ability to communicate technical results effectively to multidisciplinary teams.
