Role: LEMS Analyst
About
Our client, a leading civil engineering and mining firm, is looking for a LEMS Analyst to join their team.
In this crucial field-based position, you'll be responsible for all processes related to Labor, Equipment, Material, and Subcontractor (LEMS) data, accruals, invoices, and payments for a specific Project Component (Pipeline, Tunnel, Facilities, or Project-Wide). You'll work closely with the Finance Lead and collaborate with the field team to ensure financial processes are followed and project costs are managed effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage LEMS Data: Oversee all processes related to Labor, Equipment, Material, and Subcontractor (LEMS) data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Financial Collaboration: Work closely with the Finance Lead and field team to implement and adhere to financial processes, maintaining effective cost management across project components.
- Invoice and Payment Processing: Handle accruals, invoices, and payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing in alignment with project guidelines.
- Contractual and Financial Compliance: Support the resolution of contractual issues and ensure all financial matters are addressed before final contract payments.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide comprehensive input for financial reports and participate in the development of Finance and Project Controls plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a LEMS role, accounts payable, project accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of LEMS principles and construction cost control processes.
- Experience with reviewing and processing invoices for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with relevant accounting software is a plus.
- Ability to travel to the assigned field location is required.
