Sr Business Partner FP&A, Sales & Marketing Department: Financial Planning & Analysis Employment Type: Full Time Location: Canada - Remote (0002) Reporting To: Thomas Krolak This is a flexible position and has the option of working in our Toronto office full time, hybrid throughout the week or working entirely remotely. The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial analysis and support to various business units. This role involves preparing and analyzing financial reports, developing budgets, and forecasting operational and financial performance. The individual will work closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations that drive business decisions. This role will own FP&A support for Vena’s Sales and Marketing organizations, serving as a strategic partner to senior leadership and collaborating closely with Operations. You will take full accountability for developing accurate forecasts, building robust financial models, and delivering actionable insights that influence strategy and drive business performance. How You'll Make an Impact Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. Serve as a key business partner to senior management, providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making. Analyze data and convey stories concisely Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities. Learn and leverage key financial models in Vena; maintain and improve established models and find areas for improvement and automation Facilitate budget and forecasting process for key stakeholders; provide stakeholders with data and insights to make the best decisions Other duties, as assigned We'd Love to See 5+ years’ experience working in Finance Strong communication skills, comfortable collaborating with senior leadership and works effectively cross-functionally in a team environment You are an Excel wizard and are proficient in financial modeling. You are able uncover important business insights Working in new technology excites you Experience working in various CRMs, ERPs, has a good understanding in SaaS business. Wants to experiment and has demonstrated success using AI in day-to-day tasks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Has sound planning, forecasting, financial modeling and technical skills; able to drive operational excellence Self-starter; can execute with limited direction. Enjoys experimenting and is quick to learn from mistakes. Preferred QualificationsHas a good understanding in SaaS business Experience using CPM or FP&A software Educational RequirementsAn undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance CPA designation *Our salaries are tailored to roles, levels and locations.
