Maintenance Planner

Manufacturing unique heat-resistant alloys and high-nickel/chrome alloys primarily for the petrochemical industries, Kubota leads the industry in quality and advanced technology. As per customer requirements, Kubota designs and casts centrifugal pipes and static castings of fittings, which are then machined, welded (Automatic, Semi-Automatic, Orbital & Manual), GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, followed by in-house NDT (RT, PT, VT), in-house DT, R&D lab, as well as hydro testing. Summary: To coordinate and manage maintenance contracts, estimate activities, schedule Contractor manpower and shutdowns, handle work orders, purchases, backlog, and maintain the equipment database and schedules to enhance maintenance services. Collaborate with the purchaser to ensure timely delivery and participate in team problem-solving. Major Responsibilities (but not limited to): The primary contact and liaison person between Maintenance, Production, and other supporting departments regarding the scheduling of planned maintenance work Plan, coordinate, organize and manage contracts; estimate activities; schedule manpower, shutdowns, work orders, purchases, backlog, equipment databases, schedules and any other tasks needed to enhance maintenance service levels Develops work plans (PM, PDM, and Corrective work) with essential information to enable efficient scheduling and assignment, and execution of maintenance tasks Works to ensure that Production units balance their need for daily output with their need for equipment reliability through proactive maintenance practices Investigate and identify the root cause of issues and effectively take immediate corrective action to prevent recurrence Create PM procedure and update PM Task list as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor Schedule and coordinate waste pickup Create a detailed list of essential parts for major machines and accurately manage inventory Create and manage equipment, conduct daily inspection reports Update and corrections to the plan reported by the trades groups through the feedback report system to ensure an accurate database for future assignments In conjunction with the purchaser, organize “just in time” delivery that meets deadlines and engage in problem-solving with the team Implement, train and deploy internal procedures and standards, along with industry best practices for maintenance, in collaboration with production Develop strategies to ensure the departmental budgets are followed and produce effective cost control measures Maintain a focus on continuous improvement through effective leadership in maintenance meetings and daily operations Ensure prioritization of accurate and reliable resources based on the type of issue occurring Ensure that the maintenance team follows the established procedures and that employees understand and implement the specified maintenance process and health and safety protocols Organize and facilitate regular planning meetings All other related duties as required and assigned by the department manager Education, Experience and Qualifications College diploma in Business Administration or in Industrial Maintenance Minimum 1 year of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing industry Proven Health and Safety accountability and are knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
