Base pay range CA$100,000.00/yr - CA$120,000.00/yr Description The Senior Estimator – Miscellaneous Metals will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various projects within the construction department of the industrial and manufacturing industry. This role, based in Brampton, requires expertise in miscellaneous metals estimating and a strong understanding of construction processes. Prepare detailed cost estimates for miscellaneous metals projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop comprehensive bids. Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimize project costs and timelines. Maintain and update cost databases, ensuring current pricing and trends are reflected. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Provide support during project execution to ensure alignment with estimated costs and budgets. Present estimates and proposals to senior management and clients as required. Profile A successful Senior Estimator – Miscellaneous Metals should have: Proven experience in miscellaneous metals estimating within the construction department of metals fabrication companies Strong understanding of industrial and manufacturing processes and materials. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant estimating software and tools. Strong communication and negotiation skills.
