THE OPPORTUNITY & YOUR ROLE BGH is seeking skilled Emergency Medicine Physicians to join its dynamic physician group. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of a busy department that sees approximately 30,000 visits annually for all age groups and varying acuity. The department provides 24/7 coverage , with consistent double coverage daily from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with all shifts being 8 hours in length . As an educational affiliate of Queen’s University and a proud training site for the CCFP (EM) residency program , you will also have opportunities to teach and mentor. You’ll practice in a well-supported environment with a wide range of in‑house specialty services , including a 10‑bed ICU, General Internal Medicine (GIM), and general surgery. The hospital is a designated tele‑stroke site with an integrated stroke unit for rehabilitation. For diagnostics, you’ll have access to on‑site ultrasound, X‑ray, CT, and MRI, and the department utilizes a Cerner EMR system . YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Candidates must hold an M.D. or equivalent and be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) . While a CCFP EM Fellowship or FRCP EM certification is a strong asset, it is not required, as relevant emergency medicine experience is highly valued. COMPENSATION & INCENTIVES BGH offers a highly competitive compensation package through an Alternative Funding Arrangement (AFA) , with a guaranteed minimum annual income of $375,000 for full‑time physicians.
