GENERAL CHILD & ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRIST
The Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), a 167-bed pediatric hospital in Ottawa, ON, Canada is looking for a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our team of 28 other child and adolescent psychiatrists supported by a robust department of mental health. The position is full-time and permanent and will lead to membership in the CHEO Psychiatry Associates.
Clinical Setting and Duties
Our programs include multi-disciplinary care teams, including but not limited to, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, care coordinators, and nurses. The psychiatrist's role consists of working within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure high quality, evidence-based care including diagnostic clarification, pharmacotherapy and psychotherapy to optimize patient outcomes. Teaching and scholarly work are part of the position and are financially incentivized.
Remuneration and Benefits
This position will be well remunerated in alignment with other psychiatry positions at CHEO. The position provides 6 weeks paid vacation; 2 weeks paid conference time; and protected time for academic work, quality improvement, and education. Annual financial support for continuing professional development and research grant support is available.

Located in the beautiful capital of Canada, CHEO is part of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine hospital network. CHEO is a pediatric health and research center dedicated to pioneering research, training the health care professionals of tomorrow, and providing outstanding family-centered patient care. Required Skills
The successful candidate will have completed their subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or an acceptable equivalent), be skilled in working on multi-disciplinary teams, and be open to an environment where continuous quality improvement is a key feature of the daily work. Bilingualism (English/French) highly desirable, but not essential.
Training
MD from an accredited institution; completion of Royal College subspecialty training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent; career characteristics meeting the criteria for a faculty appointment in the uOttawa Department of Psychiatry.
