The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part-Time (0.75 f.t.e.) Temporary Educational Assistant at Peace River High School . This position will commence as soon as suitable candidate is hired and continue until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be working with individual and small groups as well as support in whole classroom settings for students grade 9-11.

Peace River High School is located in the town of Peace River 480 kms northwest of Edmonton serving students in grades 9-12.

Qualifications:

Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent

Experience and/or training working with student in school setting

Experience and/or training working with children with complex learning needs

Skills:

Ability to work with students a varying of needs and abilities

Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

Ability to work as part of a team

Knowledge and/or experience working with youth with complex needs

Requirements:

Provide an acceptance current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Rate of Pay:

$20.16 to $25.29 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).

Benefits:

The following benefits are available to CUPE Support Staff Association employees when they have successfully completed the probationary period and are working at a 0.50 FTE or greater in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division
