Grant Specialist

Position Summary Founded in 1995, YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to enriching the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start and grow businesses. Are you detail-oriented and passionate about supporting community initiatives through effective grant management? Join the Youth Employment Services Foundation as a Grant Specialist and help ensure the success and compliance of our community granting programs. The Grant Specialist oversees the community granting function, managing the application process, supporting grantees and partners, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, and conducting audits. This role is key to maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of grant-funded initiatives. Pay range: CA$52,000.00/yr - CA$52,000.00/yr. Responsibilities Manage the grant application process and provide guidance to applicants. Support grantees and partners throughout the grant lifecycle. Administer internal or external grant review committees, including scheduling, documentation, and communications. Ensure timely and accurate reporting and monitor deliverables. Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with grant terms. Assist in developing and maintaining guides, templates, and contracts. Support senior leadership in preparing for board or funder meetings related to grants and funding. Follow up with partners and grantees to ensure ongoing support and compliance. Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, funders, and other key stakeholders. Perform other related duties or special projects as assigned to support the evolving needs of the grants program and the organization. Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field. Experience in grant management or a related area. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to conduct audits and review documentation for accuracy. Proficiency in grant management software and tools. Comfortable using MS Office, CRM systems, video conferencing, Outlook, and digital collaboration tools. Bilingualism is a must. As an organization that provides services in English this position requires excellent English writing and communication skills.
