Job Title: 29954-DTS-049-ABAP Cloud Developer Working Status: Remote Client: Govt of Manitoba Contract Duration: 2 years Role Description Reporting directly to the IT Services Manager, the ABAP Cloud Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient solutions within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus on ABAP Cloud development. This role supports the organization’s digital transformation initiatives by delivering high-quality, cloud-ready applications that align with business requirements and SAP best practices. The developer collaborates closely with functional teams, business analysts, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP systems. Required Qualifications Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS). Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other SAP modules. Proficiency in ABAP, RAP, and CDS views. Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio. Strong understanding of SAP CPI, APIs (REST, SOAP), IDocs. Experience with Git, gCTS, transport management, CI/CD pipelines, and Cloud ALM. Skills in building CDS analytical views, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and using embedded analytics in S/4HANA. Minimum 5 years in similar role. A post‑secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent training and experience. Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience working in a public sector environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on large ERP programs. Experience converting from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA. Familiarity with SAP implementation methodology. Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, especially Hybrid Agile.
