Supervisor – Field Operations CDN is a recognized industry leader in the energy services sector. CDN is a full‑service provider with expertise in E&I maintenance, renewables/solar, major projects, combustion & emissions reduction, and measurement. We are looking to hire a Supervisor – Field Operations based out of our Edmonton branch. Responsibilities Assist the project manager in the preparation of the project schedule. Manage day‑to‑day activities on site and ensure that the project runs smoothly from beginning to end. Communicate effectively with employees and clients. Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a weekly basis. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with consultants and clients. Highlight and discuss important concerns during on‑site meetings. Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced. Liaise with client on a regular basis to discuss the projects status, to proactively identify and resolve problems. Prepare project documentation for labour management, materials, equipment costs, expense submittals, field reports, safety meeting minutes, and change order requests. Coordinate and direct quality control inspections as required. Control and monitor labour, material and equipment expenses. Assist in the creation of the monthly cost forecasting summaries. Ensure that “as‑built” drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis during the construction project. Monitor the overall procurement of the project by administering contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and other agreements to ensure the projects scope, terms, and conditions are consistently and proactively being achieved. Manage any changes in project scope and ensure all changes are tracked and communicated effectively and efficiently. Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists. Maintain daily time tickets, safety reports, etc. All other duties as assigned. Job Requirements 3-5 years’ experience in project site supervision is an asset. Ability to work various shifts including 5/2 schedule depending on project requirements. A valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract. Valid H2S, First Aid Level C CPR & AED, CSTS, CSO, TDG & WHMIS safety tickets. Leadership for Safety Excellence certificate. Construction knowledge and overall understanding of construction process and sequence. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledgeable with MS Office, particularly with Word, Outlook and Excel. Demonstrate a strong team‑oriented mindset and collaborate effectively in group environments.
