Senior Social Strategist Overview The Senior Social person will be responsible for building and managing ongoing client relationships while working with the production and project/campaign insights team to develop and execute campaigns. As Senior Social Strategist, you should demonstrate an advanced level of leadership and engagement on their client accounts and functional team. They possess the skills to build innovative strategies for their clients and structure them tactically so that they can be executed efficiently by the team. They can be relied upon to mentor a new team member or take over a client call if needed. They are also beginning to think about ways that they can benefit the functional social team and organization as a whole. What your day will look like The Senior Social Strategists should have deep technical and analytical expertise, including the ability to: Recommend, plan, and conduct testing opportunities Create effective analyses and case studies of their work to be shared with the client and functional team Plan budgets and flighting Develop insights and actions (implications) that demonstrate a thorough understanding of the client’s goals Begin to coach junior team members on report development and insight writing Develop projections/proposals and understand the tools used to build them Understand client’s measurement/tracking and ways to innovate and improve Identify advanced optimization tactics and ensure structure is in place to execute Leverage advanced Excel and campaign management tool skills Recommend, plan, and conduct testing opportunities Functional Expertise Paid social optimizations (proactive and reactive) Forecasting and opportunity/gap analysis Campaign management tools, including bid rules/management Monitoring new social trends and products and evaluating application to client Research tools/competitive analysis Budget/pacing and billing Understanding integrated media Developmental Growth Senior Social Strategists are able to operate fairly autonomously to effectively meet client goals and expectations day-to-day. This includes the ability develop and implement basic tactical strategies, define goals, define timelines and manage to them, problem-solve, and plan for contingencies. The beginnings of leadership skills are also required of a Senior Social. They should be able to train, mentor and help onboard more junior team members, challenge existing processes, help bring new ideas to quarterly planning sessions, and overall be a self-driven learner and solutions-oriented team member. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications At least 2- 2 ½ years of work experience managing accounts focused on delivering and optimizing social marketing and/or other interactive advertising campaigns. Must be certified in Google analytics, Google Double Click, Google Tag Manager. Strong proficiency on various Ad Platforms such as:Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Twitter Ad Manager, TikTok, Snapchat and Amazon DSP In addition to technical skills, Senior Social should be able to effectively communicate, including the ability to: Effectively convey insights to the client Tie what’s happening in the accounts to the client’s business Build relationships with clients and partners such as engines or networks Adjust their communication style based on the audience Prepare basic and assist with client-facing deliverables, including presentations and quarterly reviews Understand how to effectively organize ideas and concepts through tools such as PowerPoint Benefits OMD is a great place to work with friendly and dynamic team members who are committed to creating a fantastic culture.
