Department : Human ResourcesClassification : ExemptSupervisor Title : Human Resource DirectorSafety Sensitive: NoRemote Status : Hybrid with Supervisor's Approval JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Human Resource Director, the Human Resource Business Partner supports the development and execution of organizational policies, employee programs, and workforce initiatives that align with DTC’s strategic goals. This role serves as an advisor to management by providing human resources guidance. The Human Resource Business Partner leads compensation and benefits administration and supports employment and employee relations processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, discipline, and FMLA administration, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and organizational policies while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assists in the development and deployment of various policies and procedures Acts as a change agent for human resources requiring strategic operational and organizational assessments Provides management with information on assessment findings Assists in the review and deployment of benefits to ensure competitiveness and cost control Responsible and administers the FMLA process Responsible and administers the disciplinary process Leads the employment efforts Completes Interview Activity Records (IARs) Consults with management to provide human resources guidance as needed Develops offer letters for external candidates and internal promotions Provides input and assists with business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning Assists in the performance review process with on-going measurements for corporate development Assists with job function analysis, job description update, and development of job classification structure Assists in the development of wage and compensation program through job analysis and market benchmarking to ensure competitiveness Maintains information in the HRIS system Assists in the administration of benefits processing, new hire orientation, exit interviews, personnel file maintenance, government compliance requirements and other HR functions as necessary Actively solicits feedback from colleagues and supervisor on opportunities for growth and development Retrieves files and documents from the designated HR folders and drives on the company network. May utilize approved external programs essential to the HR department's regular operations Incorporates safety into all aspects of job functions Must work within established methods, practices, procedures, policies of the DTC and federal or state laws Performs other duties as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field 10 years of human resources experience Combination of education and experience may substitute for minimum requirements Experience within the public sector, preferred Experience using Paycor, preferred KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Maintain the high confidential nature of human resource work Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances and policies Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws WORKING ENVIRONMENT The physical environment requires the employee to work inside The majority of the work will be in an office, but the position may require work outside of an office setting May be requested to work outside of regular office hours for special program events PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodations: Walk, stand, sit, speak, hear and use of manual dexterity Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Lift and carry up to 15lbs OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must pass a background check Must pass complete physical examination and drug screen Must have a driver’s record compliant to ‘DTC Driving Policy’ #J-18808-Ljbffr
