To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com. What You'll Be Doing You’ll be joining CIBC’s Capital Markets, Regulatory Technology team as a C#/.NET Developer. Your primary focus will be on Azure development, leading the technical design, development and integration of cross‑functional, multi‑platform application systems. You will also contribute enhancements to existing technologies, work on complex issues across technical areas, mentor colleagues and perform advanced technical tasks. Your responsibilities include working with developers, architects and infrastructure specialists to gather requirements, conduct research, evaluate new tools and techniques, and identify patterns and best practices for technology proposals. You will devise new methods and procedures, drawing on strong analytic and inductive thinking, and develop project plans based on appropriate standards and methodology. How You'll Succeed Design and develop – coordinate complex application programming activities, design the technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities and testing approaches, and lead the design and development of cost‑effective and innovative solutions. Operational support – run instruction‑review sessions with the wider team, ensure deployment quality, provide technical guidance for the support team on production issues, and mentor intermediate developers. Strategic planning – develop multi‑year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy and business goals, and lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology and enhancement of existing applications. Who You Are 5–7 years of experience in .NET/C# with deep experience in Azure infrastructure and development, including Azure WebJobs, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lakes, Azure DevOps, CICD pipelines, Azure SQL, PowerShell, ASP.NET, MVC, XML, JSON, SSIS, microservices, RESTful API and unit testing. Knowledge of Agile, Elastic Search and SOLID design principles is an asset; experience with SSRS/Tableau/Power BI is also beneficial.
