Role Overview We’re seeking a Senior Architectural Technologist to lead technical design and documentation across a range of project types. You’ll play a key role in shaping resilient, code-compliant, and community-focused architecture in Northern BC. Responsibilities Lead production of detailed construction drawings and BIM models using Revit. Interpret and apply BC Building Code 2024 across diverse occupancy types. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities. Support feasibility studies and retrofit strategies. Mentor junior technologists and contribute to firm-wide technical standards. Collaborate closely with project architects and firm leadership. Involvement in all phases of design with emphasis on working drawings, construction details, and construction administration. Learn and research the changing requirements of each project and be receptive to feedback from clients and colleagues. Perform field reviews to ensure adherence of work with construction drawings. Manage contractor, client and affected stakeholders during construction operations. Ability to multi-task as you will be handling multiple project responsibilities simultaneously. Qualifications Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology or equivalent Architectural accredited program. Registered with the AIBC, or eligible for registration with the AIBC. 10+ years of professional experience in the North American architecture industry. Advanced proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows. Experience with Lumion, Sketch-up, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset. Strong knowledge of BCBC 2024. Excellent communication and coordination skills working with collaborative teams and clients. Strong technical skills with the ability to translate design intent into construction documents with a high level of attention to detail and self motivation. Experience in interior design or building science is an asset. Passion for regional design and community impact with complex stakeholder groups (i.e. Northern Health, BC Housing, First Nation communities). Must have Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Valid class 5 driver’s license. Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English.
