We provide opportunities for career growth and a dynamic, innovative work environment. Position Fire Protection Engineer – Vancouver office. You will design fire protection systems in accordance with client requirements, plans and specifications, project standards and regulations in the commercial, industrial, institutional and healthcare sectors. You should be driven to develop innovative solutions and guide clients through the design process. Work Model Hybrid work model available while working from the Vancouver office. Primary Responsibilities Design fire protection systems including sprinkler systems, gas suppression systems, and aerosol-based systems. Carry out field surveys and draw the surveys (measurements and location of system components). Produce plans, diagrams, fire matrices, hydraulic calculations, specifications, etc. Ensure compliance with codes and standards. Conduct field visits and participate in supervision of the work. Realize audible and visual fire alarm signaling. Collect and analyze information necessary for the design. Identify standards, regulations and organizations governing design and installation of fire protection systems for all mechanical aspects. Coordinate with internal and external project teams. Ensure budgets and deadlines are respected. Qualifications A recognized mechanical engineering degree and a P. Eng. designation. Knowledge of fire protection codes and regulatory standards; minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in fire protection. Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit. Valid driver's license. Self-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Commitment to client service. The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800, based on experience, training, skills and internal equity. Salaries may vary by candidate profile. Why choose CIMA+?
