Job Description We have an immediate opportunity for the Senior Civil Engineer in the Los Angeles Area. This position requires experience working in transportation road and highway design. The ideal Engineer must have experience and a strong grasp on project management principles and a forward‑thinking can‑do attitude, a visionary. This is a hybrid position – in office two days a week. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and managing engineering consultants and collaborating with teams Ability to work with Caltrans to develop DSSD (Design Standard Decision Document) and EPE documentation for Encroachment Permits Will be responsible for project oversight, own the scope, budget, and quality of deliverables Responsible for process improvements, utilize tracker and develop tools to improve efficiency and transparency and maintain dashboards Responsible for document management to include distributing DSDD/EPE documents and ensuring timely delivery to other requestors Ability to work on multiple projects with competing deadlines while maintaining high standards Contribute to process improvements and adapt quickly to evolving workflows Occasionally field travel to local territory Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 5 plus years of relevant engineering experience California PE Licensing in Civil Engineering Excellent communication skills written, verbal and virtual (TEAMS, Email, CHAT, in‑person) Experience obtaining permits from various agencies and working with engineering contractors and purchase orders Proven experience managing high volume workload and deadlines Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Power BI, SharePoint Experience working with transportation highway design and Caltrans and their documentations processes with DSDD and EPE Experience in civil land development, grading, drainage, fencing, and road design Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required.
