Duties and responsibilities for this position will include : Remedial building envelope design, preparation of specifications / drawings, construction budget, estimates, and contract administration. Site inspection review of new construction and building rehabilitation projects. Visual and destructive investigations to produce technical engineering reports. Building envelope assessments, building condition assessments, roof condition assessments, reserve fund studies and performance testing. Technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists. Various other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities. The ideal candidate for this dynamic and challenging role should have the following qualifications : 3-year (Advanced) diploma in Architectural Technology. 7+ years of relevant work experience, including on-site inspections and reporting services. Certified Engineering Technologist (is preferred). Ability to deal tactfully and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, engineers, architects, and co-workers. Effective organizational and time management skills, for concurrent handling multiple in-progress projects. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Readily accept working in a business competitive environment. Proficiency using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle is a must. Good oral and written English communication skills. Fluently bilingual in French and English would be considered an asset. Benefits Competitive compensation package. Group RRSP offered after 3 months of employment.
