Veritas Development Solutions is an independent consulting engineering firm that specializes in the design of site services, site grading and stormwater management. We provide local expertise on Development Site Servicing packages and Project Management for residential and commercial developments.

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join our team. They will be responsible for managing projects, overseeing technicians and being the main contact for clients and consultant team.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare preliminary design concepts and detailed design.
  • Review and sign off on DSSPs and other plans.
  • Mentoring technicians & overseeing their work.
  • Use AutoCAD to produce drawings.
  • Coordinate with clients and consultants team on design challenges.
  • Coordinate with shallow utility designers.
  • Model sites using City of Calgary Water Balance Spreadsheets.
  • Liaise with city/municipality reviewers.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with AutoCAD design software, Civil3D, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with stormwater modelling using SWMHYMO.
  • Strong computer literacy.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings and principles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Post-secondary education in the related field.
  • Member and have a good standing relationship with APEGA.
  • Have P.Eng designation.
