We are looking for a highly experienced Staff Full Stack Engineer with deep expertise in React, micro frontends, and design systems , and strong backend skills in Node.js, Java, and Go/Golang . As a Staff Engineer, you will drive architecture, development, and maintenance of complex web applications, influence multiple teams, and shape the technical direction of the engineering department. This role is located in Canada and requires availability to work in EST/EDT hours; options include fully remote, partially remote, or fully office-based arrangements in cities with local offices. What You’ll Be Doing Lead architectural design and implementation of large-scale features and systems across multiple teams, focusing on micro frontend architecture and shared components. Develop and maintain critical web applications using React, ensuring high performance, reliability, and user experience. Drive the creation and adoption of a company-wide design system to ensure consistency across products. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering leadership to define technical roadmaps and strategy. Mentor multiple teams, provide guidance, and perform thorough code reviews to maintain code quality and maintainability. Integrate web applications with third-party services and APIs in coordination with cross-team efforts. Promote best practices, new technologies, and a culture of technical excellence. Take ownership from concept and design through deployment and long-term maintenance. What You Need To Bring 8+ years of experience as a full stack developer with a track record of leading significant frontend projects. Deep proficiency with React and the frontend ecosystem, including micro frontend architecture. Experience designing, building, and maintaining a design system or component library. Strong backend experience with Node.js, Java, and Go/Golang. Experience with databases (document-based and relational), including schema design and data migration. Experience with containerization/orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). Cloud service knowledge (GCP, Azure, AWS) with focus on cost optimization and security. Experience with serverless and microservices architectures. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent). Ownership mindset, problem-solving, and long-term maintainability focus. Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; experience guiding engineers and leading technical discussions.
