Assistant Professor, Inorganic Chemistry - Department of Physical Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Science Full-time tenure‑track position at MacEwan University, commencing July 1, 2026. Job Summary The Department of Physical Sciences invites applications for an entry‑level, full‑time assistant professor position in Chemistry, with a specialization in Inorganic Chemistry. Responsibilities Teach Introductory General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, and senior‑level courses within the area of expertise. Develop and teach senior courses in Inorganic Chemistry. Maintain an active research program and engage in service at MacEwan and the wider scientific/educational community. Qualifications Terminal degree in Inorganic Chemistry or a closely related field, or be close to completion of such a degree. Demonstrated excellence or a clear promise of excellence in teaching undergraduate‑level courses. Primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and student mentorship through coursework and research. Experience in research that includes planning for undergraduate student involvement. Application Process Submit a cover letter and curriculum vitae describing how your teaching experience and research activities will contribute to the department and support its commitment to undergraduate education. Include a teaching dossier (up to five pages) with a teaching philosophy statement, record of teaching experience, statement of educational service and leadership, and recent teaching evaluations. Include a research dossier (up to three pages) describing your research experience and future plans, with particular attention to undergraduate student involvement. All documents should be submitted together as a single PDF. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees. Selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where they completed their degrees.
