About The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Senior AI Data Scientist for our well-reputed west-end client. HQ'd in Kanata, this software company has several offices worldwide to serve their global client base. This individual will be the lead Data Scientist in this well-established software shop's growing AI/ML Engineering group with the unified pursuit of further advancement of AI-enabled extensions of their mission-critical software solutions with an emphasis on AI/ML and utilization of LLM's, RAG, NLP's, etc.
About The Opportunity

This individual will be the lead Data Scientist in this well-established software shop's growing AI/ML Engineering group with the unified pursuit of further advancement of AI-enabled extensions of their mission-critical software solutions with an emphasis on AI/ML and utilization of LLM's, RAG, NLP's, etc.

About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Preferably a Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or equivalent
- 6+ years of data science experience ideally in a software product environment
- Experience leading AI/ML-focused development initiatives with specific experience in areas such as MLOps and utilizing LLM's, RAG, NLP's, object recognition, etc.
- Proficiency in handling extensive datasets and working with Big Data, multi-tier applications, Kubernetes systems, etc.
- Strong propensity for leadership/mentorship and a team-first mentality
