AHS will provide the necessary training to safely clean and disinfect patient rooms, clinical areas, office areas, and other common staff/public areas per Alberta Health Services standards and practices. Shift schedules may include combinations of days, evenings and weekends. Description: As an Environmental II, you will be responsible for a variety tasks associated with intensive or specialized cleaning within a hospital or facility, using industrial cleaning supplies and powered industrial equipment. Typical duties include operating industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance, thorough washing of ceilings and windows and emptying hazardous waste. Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs of force. Additional Required Qualifications: Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, able to follow oral and written instruction. Basic knowledge and operation of a computer and a smart phone. Must be dependable and able to work with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: Previous cleaning experience preferred. Experience performing cleaning duties in a healthcare environment would be an asset.
