McAsphalt offers a wide range of asphalt products and provides services in paving, testing, R&D, engineering, and consulting. Position Summary In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring a hot oil heater, loading and unloading trucks, controlling tank heat with hot oil heaters, manufacturing asphaltic products, performing preventative maintenance, and other general duties at the Langley facility. You will follow all standard operating procedures and policies established by the McAsphalt Operations department. Responsibilities Monitor hot oil heater and control tank heat for asphalt production Load and unload trucks at the plant Manufacture asphaltic products and perform preventative maintenance Adhere to all SOPs and policies of the Operations department Required Qualifications Power Engineer education with a valid 4th class steam ticket Previous experience with high pressure boilers is an asset Strong work ethic and ability to work in small teams Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to work effectively under pressure, be responsible, resourceful and autonomous Ability to work outdoors, at height and in all environments Experience with pumps, piping, heat tracing, and hot oil heaters is an asset Excellent verbal, written and presentation communications in English with strong interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel at an intermediate level with strong organizational skills Good sense of humor is a plus Benefits & Opportunities SAFETY is a VALUE at McAsphalt.
