This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining features for our mobile apps that expose Kraken’s product offering to the mass market. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web & mobile applications using React Native. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to deliver high‑impact features. Drive the technical vision, including architectural decisions and technology evaluations. Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical challenges across multiple domains. Contribute to engineering best practices and standards. Mentor junior and senior engineers and foster continuous learning. Stay current on industry trends to keep our mobile apps competitive. Shape major open‑source initiatives and drive innovation. Required Skills 8+ years software development experience, focusing on web and mobile apps. Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and expertise with ReactJS & React Native. Experience with iOS and Android SDKs, including native development (Objective‑C/Swift, Java/Kotlin). Hands‑on experience in consumer payments & fintech mobile applications. Experience with API design, security, and performance optimization. Familiarity with modern build pipelines, tooling, and testing frameworks. Strong understanding of UI/UX best practices and principles. Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Nice to Have Significant experience developing micro‑interactions and animations in React Native. 10+ years full‑time engineering experience within a large tech organization or fast‑growing startup. Experience leading or managing engineering teams. Contributions to open‑source projects or published technical articles.
