The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven and highly organized and detail-oriented Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse (RN or RPN) to assist us with a paediatric home care client. He is a lovely 10-year-old boy in need of overnight nursing support in Etobicoke.

Shifts

Overnight shift 11:30pm-7:30am EVERY Thursday and ALTERNATING Sundays
Day shifts 8:30am-8:30pm EVERY Wednesday and 9:30am-8:30pm ALTERNATING Saturdays
Someone who can commit to the set schedule mentioned above

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse
Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
Observe the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly
Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure clients health and well-being

Requirements:

An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
Negative TB Test completed within the last year
CNO Registration
COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
Valid CPR/First Aid certification
Valid WHMIS2015 certification from the last year
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
Having previous Paediatric nursing experience is an asset
Having previous g-tube, suctioning, and oxygen administration/monitoring experience is an asset.
