What You’ll Be Doing As a Sr. Consultant – Solution Design, you will be accountable for creating the solution design for new initiatives and contributing to the overall design strategy of the Simplii Financial line of business. Your mandate requires effectively and accurately translating functional and non‑functional business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment with low‑level application designs, and creating reasonable interim solutions across various phases/workstreams while considering the desired target state outcomes, including ease of ongoing support. Additionally, you will be accountable for remediating any design and build issues that may arise. How You’ll Succeed Design & Develop: Provide comprehensive senior‑level technical consulting to senior IT management and technical teams, working closely with multiple technology groups and LOBs to identify and evaluate existing applications and determine the best and most relevant approaches and next steps. Technical Solutions: Define end‑to‑end technical solutions that account for enterprise architecture strategies, current state environment and constraints for enterprise payments systems including payments originating channels, Payment Services Hubs, Payment Engines and payment rails. Analyze viability against product timelines, budget and quality, and present solutions to stakeholders as needed. Design Council: Lead the design council, a forum with key stakeholders to determine key aspects of the solution, ensure buy‑in from stakeholders, and remediate any design issues that arise. Who You Are Minimum 3–6 years as a Solution or Technical Architect/Consultant with deep knowledge of multiple technologies and emerging trends. Experience guiding technical teams, creating executive decks, and presenting to project teams and executives. Experience with business and architecture teams developing and designing technology solutions is essential. Excellent expertise in event‑driven architecture, REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps pipelines, and related frameworks. Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a technical discipline; a Master’s degree or PhD is an asset.
