Mission: Complete the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT – a remarkable legacy project that will redefine our community’s transportation landscape. Responsibilities Coordination activities across the Systems construction group: Communications, Signaling, Traction Power, Overhead Catenary System. Supervise the Systems warehouse and associated budget. Participate in warehouse cost control monthly and report deviations. Monitor inventories and report to accounting for various Systems disciplines. Prepare reporting with systems segment manager for upper management. Gather data for each Systems group and prepare reporting as requested. Gather data and monitor the Cost Of Non-Quality (CONQ) log. Monitor the snagging log and systems installation progress trackers. Represent the Systems group in meetings, audits and similar events. Other duties assigned by Line Manager. Requirements Completed post‑secondary degree or diploma in engineering. 1‑2 years proven experience in a similar role. Experience with Overhead Catenary Systems, Signaling, Communications and Traction Power is an asset. Heavy civil construction experience, preferably in LRT or similar public infrastructure projects. Good user of all Microsoft Office tools & AutoCad. Good communication skills and ability to plan and organize daily activities. Ability to negotiate the terrain of an in‑process construction site, including climbing stairs and ladders, steep/ slippery terrain, walking, and working outdoors in all types of Edmonton weather and conditions. Skills and Competencies Read and interpret contract specifications and construction documents. Proven leadership skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated organizational skills within a multi‑deadline project. Highly motivated and able to complete assignments with minimal supervision. Flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Effective problem solving and decision‑making skills. Demonstrated sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals.
