Ottawa, Canada Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology, Inc. Full time

Operations and Quality Specialist Ottawa, ON Mist Mobility Integrated Systems Technology is a pioneering company in the field of precision aerial delivery and recovery systems including the Sherpa™ family of GPS guided parafoils, Space Recovery Systems, LaunchPADS™ Multi-Mission Manager, SkyLink™ Parachutist Navigation and Situational Awareness System, and other support equipment. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, we have established ourselves as the industry leader. Our cutting‑edge technologies and solutions are trusted by military and commercial customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Quality & Operations Specialist to join our Ottawa based team. The Operations and Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring that products, components, and processes meet internal and customer quality standards. This role plays a central part in supplier quality management, structured problem‑solving, and continuous improvement across the organization. The specialist will strengthen supplier quality performance, lead the Material Review Board (MRB), manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process, and enhance the effectiveness of the MMIST Quality Clinic. What will you be doing? Run the MMIST Quality Clinic reviews as the primary facilitator, coordinating Subject Matter Experts and managers through cross‑functional participation to address internal, external and supplier failures. Own the end‑to‑end Quality Clinic workflow, including intake, prioritization, containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and closure. Execute structured root cause and corrective actions on highest profile failures using 8D, FMEA and other methodologies. This position will be supported by all internal processes including Quality, Production, Engineering, Project Management and others. Complete data analysis and identify continuous improvement projects and initiatives with process owners. Own and manage the Material Review Board. Maintain Quality Clinic KPIs and provide data‑driven insights into trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities. Verify the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions and elevate recurring or systemic issues as required. Participate in internal audits, investigations, and customer or supplier issue resolution as required. Contribute to the ongoing improvement of MMIST’s quality management system and MMIST processes. Drive process and risk‑based thinking in all Quality Clinic activities. What do we need from you? Post‑secondary education in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience). Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a regulated or high‑reliability industry. Strong working knowledge of quality systems, non‑conformance management, and structured problem solving. Ability to lead through influence rather than authority and work effectively across multiple functional teams. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills. Experience working with 8D root cause and corrective actions. Experience working with AS9100D or ISO/TS 16949 quality systems (APQP). Read and understand process documentation (BOMs, and drawings). Ideally you will have formal ASQ Certification. Compliance Statement This position may require exposure to export‑controlled information and is subject to additional security screening. In the event information provided during the security screening reveals ineligibility to access export‑controlled information, any offer of employment may be reconsidered or withdrawn. EEO Statement MMIST values diversity in the workplace. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status. Accommodation Statement If you require accommodation due to a disability at any time during the recruitment and/or assessment process, please contact Talent Acquisition and we will make all reasonable efforts to accommodate your request. Compensation Statement Please note that the compensation range information provided is a general guideline only. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
