*Qualifications:
- Registered Practical Nurse with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses
- Proof of medication administration education/competency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Leadership ability
- Demonstrated ability to participate and function in a Team environment
- Understanding of and commitment to Resident centered care
- Long-term care experience an asset
- Other related certification an asset
- Dispensing of medication
- Treatment of dressing changes
- Communication with physicians and families
- Supervises and directs on-floor Team Members where required
- Problem solving complex situation
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of Resident care needs, monitoring and reporting the condition of all Residents
- Follow established duties and job routines outlined in S&R policies and procedures
- Support the principles of Continuous Quality Improvement
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
