Base Pay Range CA$164,000.00/yr - CA$182,000.00/yr Work Location & Travel Expectations Remote Roles: If this role is remote, there will be in‑office events that require travel to and from the Mississauga and/or Salt Lake City office. These events include onboarding, team events, semi‑annual and annual meetings. Hybrid Roles: If this role is hybrid, you are expected to reside within a commutable distance to the office/location specified. This includes weekly/bi‑weekly/monthly onsite events with your team. This is a requirement for this role. Position Summary We are looking for a Principal AI Architect, reporting to the Director – Enterprise Architecture. The role drives and designs the AI Center of Excellence, governing vision, roadmap, architecture, data tools, and principles that align with the overall IT strategy. The ideal candidate collaborates cross‑organizationally to support delivery of end‑to‑end capabilities and ensures technology alignment. Key Responsibilities Execute the strategic vision for the Enterprise Architecture practice under the guidance of leadership. Architect and develop agentic IT capabilities that enhance business operations, workload orchestration, and user‑facing automation. Build LLM‑powered agents for external and internal use cases using MS Copilot Studio, Salesforce Agentforce, etc. Design orchestration flows using frameworks such as Agentforce, Copilot, LangGraph, CrewAI, or LangChain. Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) strategies tied to internal knowledge and data warehouses. Collaborate with application teams, business partners, infrastructure and automation teams to embed agents within existing systems and tools. Lead design patterns and technical guidance for agent lifecycle management, service reliability, and platform governance. Develop technical standards, reference architectures, and design patterns that guide solutions across platforms and applications. Manage the architecture review process through validation checklists and domain guidance. Design and develop end‑to‑end solutions for complex business problems. Apply architectural concepts to meet scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, and extensibility requirements. Research, prototype, and recommend emerging technologies and implementation toolkits. Promote design pattern adoption, evangelize standard processes, and build a learning community. Produce solution architectures, conduct assessments, and shape the overall strategy and roadmap. Collaborate with leaders to align technology capabilities with business needs. Required Experience & Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, software engineering, or intelligent systems; at least 2 years in LLM‑based or agentic AI development. Proficiency in Python for backend systems, APIs, and containerized services. Hands‑on experience with LLM platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) and techniques such as RAG and prompt engineering. Familiarity with agent orchestration tools (LangGraph, CrewAI, LangChain, AutoGen, etc.). Prior experience as a Principal Architect in a global organization. Experience leading architecture delivery for large‑scale business and systems transformation programs. Track record of delivering large initiatives from concept to delivery on AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot and Salesforce Agentforce. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills. Azure, TOGAF, and Salesforce Technical Architect certifications preferred. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Experience in data architecture, application or solution architecture, integration, risk management, and technology standards. Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices. Experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technical solutions.
