ERM is hiring Junior Field Archaeologists to complete archaeological field surveys. This full‑time, limited‑term role lasts 9 months, renewable. Responsibilities Oversee field studies, lead field reconnaissance, surveys, and excavation. Visually inspect land surface for archaeological and historic built resources. Ensure compliance with corporate Health and Safety requirements. Perform other duties as assigned or required. Represent ERM in communications and meetings with provincial/territorial and federal agencies. Requirements Degree in Anthropology (focus in archaeology) or Archaeology. 0‑3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience. University students who have completed a field school in archaeology encouraged to apply. Prior archaeological field‑school experience is a plus. Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and varied terrain. Working knowledge of archaeological survey and impact assessment protocols. Ability to work on a 2‑weeks‑on, 2‑weeks‑off rotation. Ability to work in the field for extended periods. Annual base pay: $52,000 – $63,207 ($25.00/hr – $30.39/hr) for limited‑term, non‑exempt. Pay determined by education, experience, location, performance, shift, travel, etc. We offer a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees. Benefits Eligibility Regular employees scheduled to work ≥20 hours per week are eligible. Fixed‑term employees scheduled ≥20 hours per week receive a limited benefits package.
