Operate large press finishing equipment onsite in Calgary, using perforating, scoring, die cutting, foiling, and embossing skills. Work Monday to Friday days.
DCM seeks a Letter Press Operator for a permanent full time role at its Calgary site. You will prepare substrates, set up letterpress equipment, and produce printed materials meeting quantity and quality requirements. The position includes makeready, adjustments, inspection, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and load substrates according to print docket specifications
- Set up letterpress equipment, including makeready and adjustments
- Run jobs consistently while meeting quantity and quality requirements
- Troubleshoot stock problems, malfunctions, and job-related challenges
- Inspect sheets and correct defects throughout each run
Requirements:
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Prior letterpress experience preferred
- Strong printing industry and press maintenance knowledge
- English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Bring letterpress setup, finishing, inspection, and troubleshooting skills to DCM's onsite Calgary production team on day shift.
