Platform Engineer

Base pay range CA$125,000.00/yr - CA$160,000.00/yr Platform Engineer – Databricks & ML Operations You will join the AI Technology Practice within the Jarvis Technology Advisory Division, supporting enterprise clients in building scalable data and AI platforms. Role Overview: We are seeking a Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and experience enabling ML projects through robust infrastructure and automation. This role focuses on designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines , managing compute resources, and ensuring seamless integration of data and AI workflows on Databricks. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML projects, including automated testing, data validation, and deployment. Configure and optimize Databricks compute environments (serverless, classic compute, Photon, nodes). Enable connectivity and access to data for AI/ML pipelines on Databricks. Collaborate with data engineers and ML engineers to support end-to-end ML lifecycle. Work with Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake , and Azure Databricks . Understand Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles; experience with Terraform is a plus. Requirements: 4+ years in data-focused roles (Data Engineer, Platform Engineer, ML Engineer, etc.). Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with Databricks , including AI/ML components (Mosaic AI, LLMs, Serverless). Strong understanding of Databricks compute architecture and performance optimization. Proven experience in CI/CD development , Git-based workflows, and automation for ML lifecycle. Familiarity with MLflow and MLOps best practices. Experience with Azure cloud services and data platform tools. Knowledge of IaC concepts (Terraform experience preferred).
