Team Lead – Store Operations Roots is hiring a Team Lead to support Store and Assistant Managers, drive sales and customer experience, and lead a high‑performing associate team. Responsibilities Act as the primary associate role – assist, coach, and model exceptional selling and service behaviors. Provide coverage and support to Store & Assistant Managers in their absence. Manage daily banking, POS, and reporting functions. Ensure all store operational activities (opening/closing, inventory, and compliance) are performed accurately. Drive associate motivation, performance feedback, and schedule breaks. Contribute ideas to the leadership team that result in improved store productivity and operations. Qualifications 1+ years of retail apparel experience, luxury retail is a plus. Proven ability to lead a sales team and be viewed as a leader among peers. Experience with POS management, banking procedures, and timely report submission. Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills. Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience. Self‑motivated and collaborative. Available for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing, and holidays. Impact You’ll Have Demonstrate a customer‑obsessed selling culture and build brand loyalty through excellent product knowledge. Partner with store management to execute action plans that optimize results and ensure effective execution of all store operational activities. Contribute ideas and solutions to the leadership team that result in increased productivity and improved operations. Assist in onboarding and training of new associates. Coach associates on customer service fundamentals and provide positive feedback. Assist in resolving customer service matters. Oversee and delegate tasks to the team to maximize efficiency of store operations. Communicate performance feedback to store management. Ensure team receives scheduled breaks and meal periods. Maintain open communication on the sales floor. Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures. Perform opening/closing procedures and inventory duties as directed. Why Join Roots?
