Project Manager, Energy Initiatives Government of Nunavut Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage departmental energy programs and activities to maintain and improve energy efficiency in Government of Nunavut facilities. Collaborate with Senior Technical Officers to design, build, maintain, and operate government facilities with enhanced energy efficiency. Develop and coordinate energy awareness programs for employees, building maintainers, students, and the general public to reduce energy consumption. Implement and monitor programs to track utility consumption, establish baseline usage, and devise GN energy guidelines, standards, and criteria for future design and construction. Coordinate the Energy Monitoring Program, serving as a resource for Facility Managers, tracking utility costs, and investigating irregular consumption. Design an Energy Conservation Program, establish objectives, and develop training for end‑users, inspectors, and maintainers. Qualifications Recognized degree in Energy Management, Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, plus at least 3 years of relevant experience. Diploma in business administration considered an asset. Experience in cold‑regions engineering and Arctic design/construction is an asset. Knowledge of Asset Planner, iAuditor, MS Project, and AutoCAD is an asset. Experience with blower‑door test equipment, infrared thermographic scanning, light meters, and air‑quality monitors is an asset. Knowledge of Inuit communities, culture, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit, Inuktut, and experience in a northern cross‑cultural environment are assets.
